Paxym has developed the following OCTEON Multi-core Library Software and Toolkits. These can be easily integrated into Customer's existing Software in Linux and FreeBSD environments. These allow the full high-performance benefits of Multiple cores as well as HW offload capabilities of OCTEON CPUs to be easily deployed, while lowering overall time and effort and costs of the Development effort.
. Regular Expression library. (HW Accelerated via OCTEON DFA)
. RAID-Z1, RAID-Z2. (RAID-5, RAID-6) library (HW Accelerated via OCTEON RAID)
. IP Toolkit. (ARP, ICMP, IPv4, UDP, TCP)
. Core Manager. (Load/Boot/Reset secondary cores from Linux shell)
The mentioned components are used as linkable libraries that talk either directly to the HW Acclerator unit or via Device Drivers.
Paxym uses profiling tools, and a number of Code and CPU techniques to wrest out the best performance that the OCTEON cores can deliver.
